After acquiring an Estes Designer's Special package, I began
perusing the JimZ site
for ideas. One kit which struck me was the Sprint.
Other than the nosecone, the Designer's Special had all the parts I
needed. I picked up a nosecone from BMS
to complete the rocket. Tango
Papa made a set of decals for me which I hope to get applied someday.
I got a little overzealous sanding the fins, so they're a little too
airfoiled, but this thing flies great on the B6-6.

Like my Cherokee, the Sprint languished for years before I finally got some decals on it, which really spruced it up.
This is a fairly common decor scheme, but from what I understand, it's
an amalgam of two different schemes from the catalog.
Here's a compilation of the catalog artwork.

The yellow/gold nosecone looks great with the black roll pattern, but you don't see them together in any of the catalog pics.
It's not a big deal, but it does seem like lots of folks consider this
to be a genuine catalog scheme. I guess great minds mis-think
alike

Here are a couple more shots. On the left, it's on the pad just before the liftoff shot at right.
