This is a clone of the BT-20 based Estes Mini-Brute Midget
(EST 0840). The 0840
Midget used the new Estes "T" motors and replaced the older K-40 Midget.
The only modifications to the design involved extending the booster
by about 0.125" and adding an aft engine block to it. This greatly
improves the reliability of booster separation. Without it, the rocket
is prone to spitting the booster motor while retaining the booster whereupon
the upper stage motor exhausts through the booster and pretty much fries
it. |
