Cherokee D
Soon after becoming a BAR, I picked up an Estes Designer's Special at the hobby store.  All the materials for cloning the Cherokee D were available in this package.  I remember seeing this rocket in the Estes catalog way back in the early seventies when Estes released their first D motors, and it was a good looking kit.

She only has a few flights on her, and I seldom fly her now, but I do have a set of JimZ decals for her that I hope to get applied someday.  Seems I'm all thumbs when dealing with those ultra-thin water-transfer decals, but they will make this rocket look really good.

Over time, the decals were applied, and they turned out great.

Here's yours truly the last time I flew the Cherokee.

The rocket is just beginning to accelerate up the launch rod.

And here's the Cherokee-D descending safely under chute.
